Cassandra Monroe, LCSW, LCADC, Clinical Director
Certified Gottman Therapist
Licensed in Nevada, Iowa, and Florida.
In our work together, therapy won’t be about what’s “right versus wrong,” but about discovering what truly works for you. I believe therapy should be effective, practical, and grounded in what promotes real, sustainable change.
Using the Gottman Method, I help couples strengthen and enhance communication, deepen emotional connection, rebuild trust, and navigate conflict with intention and skill. Whether you're navigating the early stages of a relationship, working through betrayal, or rebuilding after a major life shift, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity and purpose at any stage of your relationship.
As a substance use counselor, I am able to conduct court ordered substance use evaluations

I believe each person is unique and that their experiences, in addition to biology, help shape who they are. My background has contributed to my understanding of the connection between people and the systems in which they are involved. I learn a lot from my clients and I enjoy learning about the brain; I feel that understanding what is going on in there, particularly related to neurodivergence, is so helpful in understanding our mental health.

In my practice, I integrate evidence-based techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients cultivate psychological flexibility, learn useful skills, and build a life rich with meaning and purpose. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I believe in empowering individuals to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences. I have experience working with both youth and adults seeking support with depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, and life transitions. Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming emotions, dealing with significant life changes, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I’m here to offer a compassionate and nonjudgmental space for exploration and growth. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. I believe in tailoring therapy to meet each client’s unique needs to support their journey towards healing and self-discovery.

I have experience working with different types of trauma, people who are having trouble adjusting to new environments or medical injuries/diagnoses, those navigating acute life crises, first responders, Veterans, teens, anxiety, grief, and depression. Trauma comes in many forms and can make your life feel permanently on hold, but there is hope. I have additional knowledge and training in the areas of Traumatic Brain Injuries, which can lead to changes in the way a person thinks, feels, and behaves, as well as Post-intensive care syndrome (PICS). I believe that professional support during the rehabilitation stage of medical injuries or acute grief can be extremely helpful, as untreated trauma and grief can affect how we view ourselves and the world.

Hi there! I am so glad you are here. My name is Elizabeth, and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I focus on creating a personalized approach for each individual I work with. Graeson Howland, CSW-Intern
Hi -I’m Graeson Howland, CSW-I. Tired of feeling stuck in your same old negative feelings or patterns in your relationship? Whatever your goal for therapy is, you need a therapist that works with you toward a radically positive outcome. Part of accomplishing this is to help you feel safe to grow and experience parts of life and yourself that you haven't experienced before. When you do this with love and grace toward yourself, then you can heal. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you get to the root of the pain that makes you feel alone in your own home. Whether you're an individual working on your relationships, a couple, or a family it's time to learn how to create the love and connection you really want.

If you've been struggling for a while, I get it. I’m looking forward to helping you find peace after this exhausting journey.

If you’re looking to start or return to therapy, I’m happy to be a gentle landing place for you. I practice a non-judgmental, compassionate presence as I work alongside clients to reconnect to their body, values, and community.
I work with folks of any age and any relationship structure. I am most experienced with kids, couples, and those working through the process of healing from difficult relationships or communities.
Therapy should be authentic and liberating. For many, therapy has been stigmatizing, invalidating, or even re-traumatizing. I hope to build an honest relationship with my clients where they can give me feedback, be heard, and co-create the therapeutic process.

I work with teens and adults, particularly those transitioning out of high school and into the next stages of their lives, who find it easy to show compassion to others, but struggle to show themselves the same kindness. They are often perfectionists, people-pleasers, sensitive people, and over-thinkers. I have considerable experience working with teenagers, college students, and young adults, but I enjoy working with all ages. I have completed additional training related to perfectionism, anxiety, and ADHD.
When working with me, you can expect to feel understood, supported, and gently challenged to make shifts that will move you forward. Whether your focus is on strengthening your relationships, navigating difficult life transitions, or "unsticking" yourself from depression, anxiety, or trauma, our work together is aimed at empowering you to create positive change.

Reaching out for help takes a lot of courage and can be difficult for some. This can be because it will mean facing the reality of the situation we are in, or due to limited supports in our life. At the same time, I believe that we all have the power to make the desired changes in our lives. Because of this, I prioritize building a strong collaborative relationship with my clients. I offer a humanistic, warm, and calm presence while empowering clients to take back the lead in their lives. If you are ready to make some changes in your life and are open to self-exploration, I may be the right fit for you.

I utilize an eclectic approach which allows me to best fit the needs of my clients. I commonly accomplish this through techniques derived from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, attachment theory, psychodynamic theories, and EMDR.

Life often comes with challenges that can be hard to navigate alone. In therapy, I provide a safe space where clients can be their true selves and explore deeper into the challenges they are currently facing. Often, our childhood, relationship experiences, and current place in life influence what we think about ourselves and how we navigate the world. When people find themselves yearning for understanding and connection, therapy is a place where exploration, warmth, and validation can make all the difference. I speak English/Spanish and support children/teens, individuals, couples, and families in finding what it is they need most.
When working through attachment wounds, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, or dealing with relationship or inner conflict or maybe navigating changes in adolescence or parenthood, I use an attachment, trauma-focused, emotion-focused, and psychodynamic lens as well as utilize EMDR, IFS/ego parts work, brain spotting, and perinatal work to support clients.

There are no bad parts. I enjoy integrating a holistic perspective into my work, inspired by research addressing the mind and body connection in relation to mental health. I believe all aspects of a client’s well-being must be considered in order to ensure the most effective treatment. I enjoy providing a safe space for clients by hearing about their lives, furthering the opportunity for their development of increased self-awareness and living life intentionally.
It is essential for clients to feel comfortable exploring their lives in a space that allows them feel safe enough to be open and honest. I believe that finding healthy perceptions of ourselves, as a whole, is the key foundation to strengthening other areas of our lives.
