I've completed additional training in the areas of Perfectionism, Grief and Loss, Anxiety, Phobias, OCD, and ADHD. I enjoy learning about neurodiversity and the way it impacts mental health.  I also think it can be valuable to acknowledge and examine the messages that we receive from our environment throughout life.  I work a lot with perfectionists who tend to be driven, high achievers, but also have unrealistic standards of themselves and a heightened fear of failure. As a result, the perfectionist mindset creates a sense of stress, anxiety, or anger. A special area of focus of mine is also nursing students/nurses, as well as medical students.

My approach is centered in building strong relationships with my clients, working collaboratively to address concerns, and fostering an environment of trust and understanding- with humor sprinkled along the way. I enjoy working with those wanting to decrease anxiety, increase self-confidence, and find their own unique inner power.  My background lies in fostering social and emotional skills in children and helping families navigate the challenges of parenting and personal growth. I enjoy working with adults who are struggling with past trauma, burnout, or life transitions.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, exploring nature, and engaging in my own self-care and personal growth.

I work with teens and adults, particularly those transitioning out of high school and into the next stages of their lives, who find it easy to show compassion to others, but struggle to show themselves the same kindness. They are often perfectionists, people-pleasers, sensitive people, and over-thinkers. I have considerable experience working with teenagers, college students, and young adults, but I enjoy working with all ages. I have completed additional training related to perfectionism, anxiety, and ADHD.

When working with me, you can expect to feel understood, supported, and gently challenged to make shifts that will move you forward. Whether your focus is on strengthening your relationships, navigating difficult life transitions, or "unsticking" yourself from depression, anxiety, or trauma, our work together is aimed at empowering you to create positive change.

I am passionate about helping individuals achieve their best sense of self and find fulfillment in life. Sometimes, we are held back by past hurts, low self esteem, anxiety, loss, or past trauma. Therapy can help you find ways to overcome life challenges, feel more confident, and have better relationships,I strongly value a person-centered approach in treatment. This means it is of the upmost importance that the therapeutic relationship feels safe, non-judgmental, warm, genuine and empathic in order for you to access true emotional change.

I aim to establish a strong therapeutic bond by stepping into your shoes with genuine empathy. This connection serves as a foundation for applying personalized, evidence-based techniques that can significantly impact your life. I enjoy working with clients who delve into the pros and cons of their current situation to unearth their genuine aspirations for change. Once this awareness is reached, the tools I employ can swiftly and effectively evoke feelings of joy, empowerment, and enlightenment. These exercises won't just affect your present experience; they'll continue benefiting you long after our therapeutic sessions conclude.

Throughout our sessions, we'll employ data-driven surveys to gauge progress and the achievement of your goals. This information deepens our therapeutic connection and guides us in adjusting or trying alternative approaches as needed. I hope you'll find this approach refreshing and innovative in your therapy journey.
