Hi, I'm Mary

I work with people who feel stuck in patterns and cycles of avoidance, pain, distress, and conflict. My clients are often those who need to figure out a new way forward and are open to feedback in ways they can approach their problems. Perhaps you need help deciding your next step, exploring continued unhelpful behaviors, or need help establishing new ways to communicate and connect. I focus on helping you cultivate self-compassion, assertiveness, and confidence; developing ways to reduce suffering, anxiety, social withdrawal, and self-neglect.

As a therapist who previously served in higher levels of care, I am particularly aware of the biological, social, and cultural factors that often contribute to stress and crisis. I have worked extensively with those struggling with chronic mental health issues and also have worked with children and adolescents in the school system.

It can be difficult to change patterns, but I focus on empowering clients to take control of their lives and to feel good about who they are and how far they have come. My style is typically Solution-Focused, with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. If you are ready to break free of dysfunctional cycles, improve existing relationships, or are simply seeking to feel better than you do today, then I would love to support you along that journey.
